Well my oldest daughter turned 13 on August 14th. It's hard to believe it when you get to the point of having a teenager! We had a fun time hanging out at a local resort and we decided to do some fun things for dessert. The first thing we did was make nail polish bottles which you can see in the first picture. They were so easy. You melt colored chocolate and did full size marshmellows in them then top them off with a tootsie roll. so fast and easy and adorable!
The girls also decorated lunch totes that I got with rhinestones and fabric markers!
Instead of a cake I decided to do some special cupcakes that I saw on a website. They are high heeled shoes. I thought I would assemble them at home but soon realized that I was going to have to put them all together at the hotel. You make a regular cupcake, ice it. Take a graham cracker and cover that in chocolate then take an oreo straw as you high heel and put it all together! They were adorable and the girls thought they were so much fun!
